Our man on the big boards, Ben Haworth, grabbed a 3rd place at the English championships in Cornwall last weekend. He was on pace to win the contest but, as he has a flare for the dramatic, he fell on a couple of waves and took 3rd. It's a cunning plan he's formulated. Since nobody likes a perennial winner (Ben won last year) he sandbagged so he can come back next year to reclaim the title. Yes, that's the kind of story people write rock ballads about. It's either that or he tried hard but fell and got an honest third. Either way we're proud of you Ben!
